Adela Cruz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker currently working for Anaheim Union High School District. She has worked in the profession for over 15 years. She currently serves as the District’s Foster Youth Liaison, McKinney-Vento (Homeless) Liaison, and manages an Intern Training Institution for graduate-level students who address the social/emotional needs of students. She has experience in working with vulnerable/disenfranchised populations and assessing barriers to self-sufficiency; experience in trauma, its impact on development, and application of trauma-focused modalities. As the McKinney-Vento (homeless) Liaison, she works closely with families and students dealing with homelessness. In order to meet the multiple and systemic needs of students dealing with homelessness, she works closely with school sites, staff, private, public, and non-profit agencies. This includes participating in the Collaboration to Assist Motel Families, which she started attending four years ago.
